Setting VoiceAttack variables

ED ToolBox comes with a VoiceAttack module that can be used to make Text-To-Speech software say out loud information about the current system, stations etc.

This guide assumes you know how to use the basic functionality of VoiceAttack and only focuses on how to use the ED ToolBox urls as variables in Text-To-Speech.

Using variables as text

  • In VoiceAttack, add a New Command
  • Choose Other -> Advanced -> Set a Text Value

  • Click OK, then Other -> Sounds -> Say Something With Text-To-Speech
  • In the textbox, write {TXT:some_name} where some_name is the name you gave the variable earlier.
  • Click OK
